Prisons & Criminal Justice Committee

  • ACLU Chico believes in improving our criminal justice system.
The members of the 'Prisons & Criminal Justice Committee' organize around specific projects as they become important in both our local community and the nation.  Within these parameters, Committee members organize around prison and criminal justice projects they care to work on, and invite others to join this work and define its direction.  Currently, members are working as part of the Restorative Justice Coalition, a Chico based alliance that is working to educate our community about restorative justice concepts and practices, with the goal of incorporating these into the Butte County criminal justice system.  Join our work!
